Flying Tiger Copenhagen CEO, Mette Maix, has decided to leave the company and will be replaced by Martin Jermiin.

Mette Maix says:
”I am very proud that, in just a few years, we have been able to revitalise both the concept and the core values of Flying Tiger Copenhagen. We have initiated a new direction, going from a speedy expansion pace resulting in more than 950 stores across the globe to consolidating the company. However, I have come to realise that I am not completely satisfied with the current  executive management set up decided in January, and as a consequence, I have decided to resign.

I am very pleased that our business concept and our brand have proven to be strong and feasible in a retail market going through difficult times - and that the company is now heading in the right direction. We have taken a series of important decisions regarding the future of the company. Decisions which I am certain will make Flying Tiger Copenhagen even stronger and which gives my successor a strong foundation to move the company forward. I wish Martin and all the fantastic employees in the company the best of luck for the future”.

The Board of Directors in Flying Tiger Copenhagen has appointed Martin Jermiin, new CEO with effect from May 1st. Martin joined the Executive Management team alongside Mette Maix in January.

Martin Jermiin says:
”I have been very pleased with our cooperation. Together, Mette and I have initiated a strong consolidation process, which is an important step towards strengthening Flying Tiger Copenhagen for the future. I look forward to continuing the work with the support from the whole organisation and from our partners and colleagues around the world”.

The Chairman of the Board, Vagn Sørensen, has accepted Mette Maix’ decision:
“Mette Maix has been a great asset to Flying Tiger Copenhagen, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for two years of great and productive cooperation. In Martin Jermiin, we have found a successor, who knows both the core values and the special mechanisms of Flying Tiger Copenhagen very well. His main task will be to continue and conclude the consolidation process. He took part in initiating the process, and we have full confidence in him and in his ability to complete the task. The Board looks forward to continuing working with Martin, now as CEO”.
