Flying Tiger Copenhagen wins Facebook Innovation Spotlight Award
September 09, 2016
Flying Tiger Copenhagen, a recent rebrand of Tiger, has been awarded Facebook’s Innovation Spotlight awards in the Personalized Marketing at Scale category. This means that the company has been very good at growing its following on Social Media by providing relevant information and less spam – a win-win situation for both the company and its customers.
The popular Danish variety retailer offers a quirky and ever-changing assortment of award winning own-designed products at affordable prices. The shopping experience is full of surprises and aims to inspire the visitors to try new things, to be creative and to have more fun with their family and friends. For the past year the Social Media team has focused on mirroring this experience online.
“Flying Tiger Copenhagen wants to bring people together and make them happy, to succeed we must connect with them as individuals. Globally we have over 1 million followers on social media and we want to make their digital experience as relevant as a visit to one of our almost 700 stores,” Global Social Media Manager Linda Ghabain says.
To accomplish the goal, Flying Tiger Copenhagen adopted Falcon’s new Audience profiles hub, launched in May 2016, which created a centralized system of record for all customer data and enabled marketing teams to deliver more personalized communication efficiently to all customers at scale.
Since using Falcon, Flying Tiger Copenhagen has increased its fan numbers by 32% and kept response time to customer inquiries below 24 hours. After adopting the Audience profiles hub, Flying Tiger Copenhagen has indexed over 128,000 customer profiles and continues to gain 800 profiles per week. The brand now has a better understanding of who its customers are and is able to tailor content to be more relevant.
